Who We Are
The AQUA MAXI story
AQUA MAXI’s journey began in 2005 with a practical purpose: to bring dependable water-treatment knowledge, equipment and support closer to the communities and industries we serve.
Officially established in 2007, AQUA MAXI has grown from a local initiative into a company serving residential, commercial and industrial water-treatment needs across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The beginning
Founder Emad Shukri Abdulrahman began the journey that would become AQUA MAXI, bringing prior industry experience and a practical approach to solving water-treatment needs.

Official establishment
The first office became a dedicated base for customer consultation, system planning and the daily work of building the company.
Product development
The first AQUA MAXI RO-5 marked an important step in developing the company’s own branded residential water-treatment line.

Continued refinement
The refined RO-6 model reflected AQUA MAXI’s continuing focus on improving its residential product offering and how its systems were presented to customers.
Expanding experience
Growth was not only measured by products. AQUA MAXI continued to appear at exhibitions, meet partners and study developments in water-treatment technology.

Industrial wastewater treatment
AQUA MAXI supplied a dissolved air flotation wastewater-treatment system for Karband Refinery in Kashi Industrial Zone, in the Sumel area of Duhok.
The confirmed treatment capacity is 2 million litres per day.

Then & now
From the first office to AQUA MAXI today, the company’s focus remains understanding the water and matching the treatment to the actual need.

AQUA MAXI today
Today, AQUA MAXI works across drinking-water purification, reverse osmosis, water softening, filtration and wastewater treatment, with installation, maintenance and technical consultation supporting each scale of work.
From a household RO unit to a demanding industrial application, the starting point remains the same: understand the water and match the treatment to the actual need.

Interactive water guide
Answer three simple questions for a general treatment direction. The result is educational and helps start the conversation—it is not a water diagnosis.
Water-quality education
Clear, practical information to help you ask better questions about drinking water. Treatment should be chosen from the water source, reliable testing and the intended use—not appearance or taste alone.
Safe water supports health and daily life. Unsafe water can carry disease-causing microorganisms or harmful chemicals, and many hazards cannot be identified by taste, smell or appearance.
WHO: Drinking-water ↗Water is essential for normal body function and is a healthy hydration choice. Individual needs vary with age, activity, climate, health and diet, so one fixed amount is not suitable for everyone.
WHO: Water and hydration ↗Potential hazards include microorganisms, sediment and naturally occurring or human-made chemicals. What is present varies by water source, plumbing, storage and local conditions; testing is the reliable way to investigate.
CDC: Test before choosing ↗Bacteria, viruses and parasites are biological hazards. Dissolved chemicals are different hazards. A process that disinfects microorganisms does not automatically remove dissolved chemicals, and a filter for chemicals may not remove germs.
CDC: How treatment works ↗Match the method to the need
No single filter removes every contaminant. Check the manufacturer’s certified reduction claims for the exact model and select treatment using water-test results.
A filter can lose effectiveness as material accumulates, and poorly maintained systems can allow germs to grow. Follow the manufacturer’s replacement and cleaning instructions; replace parts earlier if testing or system performance indicates a problem.
CDC maintenance guidance ↗Use a clean food-safe container with a tight cover and a small opening or tap. Store it cool and away from direct sunlight and toxic substances. Clean containers regularly, and never reuse a container that held pesticides, fuel or other toxic chemicals.
CDC safe-storage guidance ↗Important: This section provides general education, not a diagnosis of your water or personal medical advice. Use an appropriate laboratory test when safety is uncertain and follow local public-health guidance.
Water-quality testing
A water report helps separate visible or aesthetic issues from microbiological, physical and chemical concerns. The useful test list depends on the source and local risks, so a qualified laboratory should advise on sampling and analysis.
Shows how acidic or alkaline the sample is. It can affect corrosion, scaling, disinfection and treatment performance.
Estimates the overall amount of dissolved material. It is useful for treatment planning, but TDS alone does not prove whether water is safe.
Measures mainly dissolved calcium and magnesium associated with scale and soap consumption. It helps assess whether softening may be appropriate.
Measures cloudiness caused by suspended material. High turbidity can interfere with treatment and disinfection and may indicate a source or system problem.
Residual chlorine testing helps assess disinfectant presence in chlorinated supplies. Interpretation depends on the supply system and applicable local guidance.
Looks for indicator organisms or specific microorganisms using appropriate laboratory methods. Chemical or TDS testing cannot replace it.
Already have a laboratory report?
Select an image or PDF. On supported phones, the website will open the device share menu so you can choose WhatsApp. Otherwise, it opens AQUA MAXI’s WhatsApp chat and asks you to attach the selected report manually.
Your report stays on your device until you choose where to share it.
Important: This information explains common parameters only. It does not interpret a particular report, certify water as safe or replace advice from an accredited laboratory and relevant public-health authorities.
